FROM THE SOUL COMES VALOUR. FROM KNOWLEDGE COMES IMMORTALITY.

FROM THE DIRECTOR's DESK
When students graduate from school, their entry into the world should be so smooth that nary a ripple should mar the transition from adolescence to adulthood; it should be so impactful that it touches the lives of multitudes; and it should be so unique that it remains etched in the minds of those who revelled in it. This is the dream that we at EPS have for our students. We want to prepare them so that they can face challenges with aplomb and accept success with humility. We want them to experience the real joy of living not just obtain a vicarious knowledge of it through books. We want them to be known as honourable players and not just winners, as wise and not just intelligent, as understanding and not just knowledgeable, as kind and compassionate and not just friendly.

Covering Aarambh (Nursery), Neev I (K.G. - I), Neev II (K.G. - II) and Nirmaan (Class - I), the elementary school adopts a non-formal approach to learning. Children here are encouraged to explore their environment while also being taught basic concepts in language, mathematics, computers, art and craft , dance and music. Activities at this level are designed to develop fine motor skills and enhance sensory development with an integration of physical education through trained personnel. In a nurturing environment they would develop an awareness of themselves as responsible and capable learners for the first time. In the elementary school there are no examinations. Teachers evaluations and assessments are continuous and ongoing and are deemed sufficient to mark student's progress.
A regular assessment of student's work is considered crucial in the educational process. Progress is discussed with both parents and students. In Elementary and Junior school the assessment is based on class work, homework, projects, worksheets and detailed progress reports are made by the teacher. While in the middle school, we follow (formative) continuous assessments throughout the year, there are two summative assessments, one in each term. Senior school assessments have been organized following the Council guidelines.
Exams are the way to test student's knowledge. Exams and test help the student's concentrate in their studies, learn their lessons properly and to enhance the real skills, talents and knowledge. It is the way to express their real knowledge and ability in the written form. It teaches a lot of things and gives training on various things like punctuality, writing skills, and timing sense, expressing our thoughts and opinions and so on. In the senior school we have regular exams Continuous Assessment, Initiations, Half yearly, Trials, Pre - boards and finals.
